Support for Innovative Projects in Sleep Medicine Education and Advocacy

The Virginia Academy of Sleep Medicine (VASM) is pleased to announce a  grant opportunity for 2026, designed to support innovative projects that align with the Academy’s mission to educate health professionals in the discipline of sleep medicine and improve the quality of life and health of Virginians through educational and advocacy efforts.

Key Details:

• Funding Available: Up to $2,000, inclusive of all direct and indirect costs.
• Eligibility: Open to individual VASM members in good standing.
• Project Focus: Proposals should further the mission of VASM. 
• Presentation Opportunity: Funded projects will be showcased at a future VASM meeting, providing a platform for sharing outcomes with peers.

Additional Considerations:

• Projects are encouraged to demonstrate creativity, collaboration, and community impact
• Grants are not intended to provide a competitive business advantage
• Applications will be reviewed by the VASM Awards Committee
• Partial funding may be awarded based on available resources and project merit
• Certain exclusions apply:
  • Current VASM Board Members
  • Awards Committee members (unless fully recused from decision-making)
  • Prior VASM grant recipients within the last 3 years
  • Employees, interns, or contractors on behalf of pharmaceutical or medical device companies
