The Virginia Academy of Sleep Medicine is pleased to announce the 2026 Annual Conference, taking place November 12–13, 2026, at the Hilton Hotel & Spa | Short Pump in Richmond, Virginia.
Join sleep medicine professionals from across the region for two days of high-quality education, clinical updates, and opportunities to connect with colleagues and industry partners—all in our familiar and convenient conference location.
This year's program covers a wide range of sleep medicine topics, including recent AASM clinical practice guidelines, dental device titration, orofacial myofunctional therapy, and new concepts in inspiratory pressure. Friday's schedule features a Year in Review session, dedicated breakout tracks for physicians, dental sleep specialists, and sleep technologists, plus sessions on parasomnias, CBT-I, sleep and opioids, and wearable technology. Abstract poster presentations will be on display throughout the conference, and be sure to join us for the reception Thursday evening!
The 2026 Annual Conference will again feature breakout sessions for sleep tech, dental, and physician attendees — and this year, we're adding a Sleep Surgery Breakout as well. See below for more information!

Are you a sleep surgeon or sleep medicine physician looking to expand your clinical toolkit? Join us for a focused breakout session covering the full care pathway — from patient selection for hypoglossal nerve stimulation and surgical pearls, to advanced troubleshooting, bilateral HGNS, barbed reposition pharyngoplasty, and the role of nasal obstruction in OSA. The session wraps up with a challenging case panel, a 2026 sleep surgery literature review, and a look at future directions in the field.
Not just for surgeons! Sleep medicine providers will leave with a clear referral framework and a broader understanding of the full anatomic toolkit.
Can't make the full conference? No problem — you can register for just this breakout session, and your registration includes a complimentary one-year VASM membership.
